The Redeemer Diaconate wants to say…  Thank you!

November 22 was an inspirational Sunday. Congregants from all three Redeemer congregations came together to support the Diaconate, a ministry of deed. The gifts are still being tallied, and we have already received over 50% of our $550K goal for 2015. Your financial gifts translate into tangible expressions of Christ’s love and God’s mercy for our congregants in need.

One of our Diaconate care recipients shared:

I pray daily for this congregation that has become so dear to me. I pray in thanks-giving for all you have done for me and for your continued faithfulness to the Lord. There is a wonderful 4th Century hymn, ‘Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est’ Translated, that means: ‘Where charity and love are, God is there.’ That describes Redeemer. Thank you.

Your commitment to this ministry of mercy at Redeemer and your partnership with us make the work of the Diaconate possible. It is out of our Mercy Fund that our deacons and deaconesses are able to meet the practical and financial needs of those in our church family. We are thrilled to see lives being changed and transformed by the gospel. If you missed the Diaconate’s Special Offering Sunday back in November, you can still make a gift at redeemer.com/mercygift.

With gratitude from the Diaconate.
