Thank you for your interest in the Gotham Fellowship. This page will give you an overview of the application process.

Admissions for Gotham Class of 2021 have closed. We will begin accepting applications for the Class of 2022 at the beginning of January 2021.

Applications open each year in mid January and typically close at the end of April for the following class (for example, those who apply in 2020 will be considered for the 2021 class that begins in the fall of 2020). Given the high interest in the program, we unfortunately cannot accept all those who apply for the program. An admissions committee reviews the applications and notifications are sent at the end of May. This year, applicants who applied by the April 30, 2020 deadline will be notified by May 31, 2020. Applicants who apply during the second round (May 1-31) will be notified by June 14, 2020.

The application consists of two parts: 1) Application and 2) Recommendations. You can fill out the application by pressing the "APPLICATION" tab above. In addition, you will need two recommendations--one from someone who can speak into your work life and a second from someone who can speak into your spiritual life, preferably a pastor or spiritual mentor. You can email your two recommenders the link to the "RECOMMENDATIONS" page where they can fill out their recommendation. Please be advised that your right to see the content of these recommendations will be waived. Both recommendations and the completed applications must be submitted by the deadline to be considered for the following year's class.

All accepted applicants will be invited to apply for financial aid once they have been notified of their acceptance. Scholarships will cover a percentage of tuition based on need. To apply for financial aid, we will request the following information:

  • Outstanding loan details (types of loan, total loan amounts, loan repayment information)
  • Projected annual income of current or following year
  • Supporting documentation (paystub, W-2 or this year's tax return)
