Divorce Care Group

Divorce Care Group (Women Only)

Needing a safe place to share and process pain from a broken marriage? The Diaconate seeks to minister to those in any stage of divorce. Women who are separated or newly-divorced will come together for 10 weeks in a safe environment for mutual support and a fresh start by diving into Scripture, prayer and a divorce recovery workbook. While the group will allow for connection to those going through similar circumstances, the main theme of the gatherings will be the heart's response to scripture and prayer. Our hope is that through exposure to the work of the Holy Spirit and reminder of God's character, gospel change can occur in the midst of each individual's journey.

Our 2020 Divorce Care Group for women will be taking place in the fall. Please check back during the summer for dates and registration. It will meet at the home of one of our volunteer leaders.

Psalm 30

10 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
O Lord, be my helper!”

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

Our purpose

  • Affirm the intrinsic value God gives mature believers to grace the body of Christ.

  • Build and strengthen each other in our faith.
  • Initiate unique ways that we as older adults can serve the community.

Our goals

  • Encourage one another through frank discussion and sharing personal stories.

  • Pray for one another and our church in life's challenges and triumphs.
  • Become a new community of mature people who support and care for the larger community.

OWLS, in keeping with Redeemer's vision to be a church not for oursevles, serves the needs of the community as they arise.
