We are hosting two new programs on Thursdays: Job Search Round Table from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and Job Search Skills Training (times below). 

The Job Search Ministry is sponsored by the Diaconate. Our main goal is to help our congregants achieve success in their job search, by instilling the values of confidence, productivity and a sense of wholeness. We believe that God intended to use our work to advance his kingdom. We desire to see our congregants engaged in meaningful work according to God’s purpose and will. This ministry is gospel driven and extends the Diaconate’s vision of mercy and justice.

Job Search Round Table

The Round Table is a weekly program for professionals seeking employment, by those seeking employment. Round Table meets on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Redeemer Offices (1166 Avenue of the Americas, 16th Floor). While you are actively seeking your next role, join us for networking, prayer and spiritual encouragement in a Gospel-centered community. Each week our Round Table speaker will provide a biblical teaching on job search themes that are relevant for professionals in all industries and vocations.

Job Search Skills Training

Skills Training is a 5-session course to equip professionals with the necessary skills for a successful job search in NYC. Meetings are held at the Redeemer Offices (1166 Avenue of the Americas, 16th Floor). Topics include job fit assessment, career search strategy, resume writing, LinkedIn, engaging recruiters, mock interviewing and mock salary negotiations. As each class builds upon the previous session; attendance at all classes is required.
