2005 Vision Campaign

Redeemer’s Vision Campaign officially began September 25, 2005. As of October 12, 2008, we had received $16.37 million in gifts of the $19.2 million pledged.

Redeemer’s vision is to spread the gospel, first through ourselves and then through the city by word, deed and community; to bring about personal changes, social healing and cultural renewal through a movement of churches and ministries that change New York City and, through it, the world. To learn more about Redeemer’s vision, see vision and values.

This campaign will ignite three initiatives that form the next stage in our progress toward the vision:

  1. Strengthen Redeemer by developing community centers with worship space.
  2. Reach more people by multiplying our church-planting.
  3. Build our communities by launching new ministries.

To learn more about these initiatives, see campaign initiatives.

Our vision for New York City is fueled by our knowledge that God’s shalom will eventually transform the world. We hope, because we believe Christ will return with power and glory, for those who have no hope. We envision a human community based on service to others rather than on the accrual of power. We plant churches, build community-serving ministries, and live in ways that point to this future and spread this good news throughout the city and the world in which we live.
