Connect

Our goal at Redeemer is not merely to have excellent music on Sunday. We want our musicians to understand and apply the gospel to their work throughout the week so that we can positively impact the musical community of New York City. This kind of change happens best in community with other Christian musicians. 12% of Redeemer's congregation classify themselves as artists and when you combine that with other vocations like advertising and design, a full 24% of regular attendees are vocationally involved in the arts. There are several ways for you to connect with other musicians at Redeemer and grow in your spiritual journey.

Musician Fellowship Groups

Like the other fellowship groups at Redeemer, our musician fellowship groups are small groups that meet for the purposes of studying the Bible, prayer and fellowship. Belonging to a fellowship group is the best way to become deeply engaged in the community at Redeemer. Members of musician fellowship groups are active professional musicians, aspiring-professional musicians, and conservatory students. The groups meet at times conducive to musician schedules. Social Events

It's not all rehearsals and bible studies in the Worship and Music department! Several times a year we gather for dinner or a party in order to give our musicians opportunities to connect, network and fellowship. All of the Musician Fellowship Groups and the Vocational Forums also enjoy social events together throughout the year. To receive invitations to the Fall Kick-Off Dinner, Christmas Party and Spring Gathering, email music@redeemer.com.

Arts Ministry

Redeemer has a thriving Arts Ministry housed under the Center for Faith & Work and musicians are encouraged to take advantage of the many programs and workshops they offer throughout the year. The Worship and Music ministry regularly collaborates with the Arts Ministry and artists of all genres to connect, fellowship and grow. The monthly InterArts Fellowship is a particularly great way to meet other artists. Visit faithandwork.org/arts to view the opportunities through the Arts Ministry.
