Connect and Grow

Our goal at Redeemer is not merely to have good music on Sunday. We want our musicians to understand and apply the gospel to their work throughout the week so that we can positively impact the musical community of New York. This kind of change can only happen in community with other Christian musicians. Here are some ways for you to connect with other musicians at Redeemer and to grow in your spiritual journey.

Musician Fellowship Groups

Like the other fellowship groups at Redeemer, our musician fellowship groups are small groups that meet in apartments for the purposes of studying the Bible, prayer and fellowship. Belonging to a fellowship group is the best way to become deeply engaged in community at Redeemer. Members of musician fellowship groups are active professional musicians, aspiring-professional musicians, and conservatory students. The groups meet at times conducive to musician schedules, such as Monday nights (when the theaters are dark) and Tuesday afternoons. Get locations and contact information for active groups.

Faith and Work Seminars

Several times a year, Redeemer musicians gather to discuss the philosophical and practical implications of the gospel on our daily work as musicians. Sometimes these meetings involve guest speakers or panel discussions led by prominent Christian musicians. Please check back for more information on the next Faith and Work Seminar.

Dinners and Parties

It's not all rehearsals and bible studies in the Worship and Music department! Several times a year we gather for dinner or a party in order to give our musicians opportunities to connect and network. Please check back for more information on the next Redeemer Musicians' Party.
