Sunday Service Ministries

We believe that serving in a ministry on Sunday goes far beyond performing a necessary task...it's also about becoming a part of the church community and about serving one another the way that Christ served us.

Redeemer's Sunday Service Ministries department is responsible for recruiting, training and overseeing volunteers who serve each Sunday to help church services run smoothly. Volunteers are assigned to teams that rotate on a regular basis, with each team serving once a month.

Sunday Service Ministries offers five different areas of ministry for those who want to connect more deeply to the community of Redeemer. Anyone who is a member or regular attender is welcome to join one of our volunteer teams in the following ministry areas: Welcome Center, Ushering, Communion (members only), Information Center, and Book Table.

Sunday Service Ministries works to affect growth in the lives of volunteers not only by providing training, but also by building a network of support within the various volunteer teams in each ministry area. Through Volunteer Training Events, Leadership Training, retreats and social events, team members develop a stronger sense of community and of being a vital part of Redeemer's ministry to New York.
