Buenos Aires, Argentina is a city of 14 million people. It was founded in 1580 and throughout the centuries has become a global city.
Marcelo Robles is the pastor of ‘La Misión – Iglesia Evangelica Presbiteriana,’ located in the Southern part of Buenos Aires. La Misión doesn’t just want to serve their communities, but they work to empower leaders in these communities who can be agents of transformation in their own communities. The church works to evangelize and disciple, but also seeks to get involved in many projects that can help improve the city.
La Misión has been involved in over 20 microbusinesses that have helped improve their communities economically. La Misión has also begun to work in projects through education, art vocational schools, music and recycling. La Misión has also begun missions in Paraguay, Bolivia and downtown Buenos Aires.
For the past two years, Claudia and Kyle Zimmerman have been working alongside Pastor Marcelo Robles. They have been working with the youth through Bible study and developing a Bible Institute for the whole church. They have also been helping the church in their outreach to the communities of Los Pinos, Carrillo and Fatima through the teaching of different kinds of vocational classes such as carpentry, English, and computers.
We’ll be working with both Marcelo Robles and the Zimmermans in the many projects and communities they are involved in.
