Hope for New York Annual Spring Benefit

Hope for New York (HFNY) held its Sixth Annual Spring Benefit “Faces of Hope” on Thursday, May 10 at The Church of the Holy Apostles in Chelsea. Spear-headed by HFNY’s Young Supporters Committee, the event gathered over 400 attendees and featured portraits of and stories from HFNY volunteers, supporters, and clients, as well as a message from the Rev. Jeff White, Assistant Pastor of Redeemer’s Downtown congregation.

More than 50 volunteers helped make the event a success, including the Young Supporters Committee, a group of volunteers that plans events and initiatives throughout the year to acquaint people with HFNY’s mission.

Each attendee was invited to engage in the greatest needs of NYC’s underserved communities by volunteering and giving financially to HFNY’s affiliates. A generous anonymous donor provided a $50,000 matching gift 1:1 opportunity so that every contribution received will be doubled. The event was underwritten so that 100% of the donations will go toward programs that directly impact the communities served by HFNY. If you were unable to attend the benefit but would still like to participate, please visit www.hfny.org to learn about ways to volunteer and give to Hope for New York. Thank you for supporting our affiliates and partnering in the ministry of justice and mercy to New York City.
