Where do I begin and which class do I take first?
Feel free to attend any class that suits your interest and helps you grow in your level of understanding.
How do I register for a class?
Visit our Class Schedule to see a grid with all currently offered classes. Click on the title of the class you are interested in attending. The class page will provide a link to register online (registration is required for all classes). If there is a fee for the class, you will be taken through a check-out process via the Redeemer webstore. An email will be sent to you confirming that you have registered and paid for the class.
Why is there a registration fee?
Most classes include a small registration fee to cover administrative costs, class materials, and basic programming costs that are not covered by our ministry budget.
Are there scholarships available?
Scholarships may be available depending on the class. Please email foundations@redeemer.com to ask if there are scholarships available for a particular class.
How can I cancel my registration and receive a refund?
With many of our events, space is limited and there is an administrative cost of running these events. If you would like to receive a refund, you must cancel 1 week prior to the event.
Where are classes offered?
Because of renovations to the YMCA building (West AM services) and space limitations at First Baptist (West PM services), our Sunday classes are available only at Hunter College, from 12:10 to 1:10pm. Occasionally, we offer one-time Sunday afternoon seminars in the Hunter Auditorium. We encourage attendees from all services to consider attending our Sunday classes at Hunter. In addition to Sunday classes, we offer a number of midweek classes and one-time Saturday seminars at the Redeemer Offices. Check out our Class Schedule for more details.
Is audio recording permitted?
For the sake of comfort and privacy of all participants in our classes, taping of any kind is not permitted. Exceptions will need to be discussed with the teacher.
Where can I find required or recommended books?
Most required or recommended books can be easily accessed through Redeemer's Recommended Resources. This online resource center has links to the book's Amazon page, as well as downloaded articles and audio Q&As.
What are other resources or contexts for learning at Redeemer?
SOGF is only one avenue for learning at Redeemer. In addition to attending our classes, we encourage participants to join a fellowship group. Many fellowship groups work through in-depth Bible studies written by Dr. Tim Keller and other ministers on staff. Other Redeemer ministries also offer special lectures by guest speakers, covering a variety of topics. Please see our website and look through the various ministry web pages.
