Missions Focus

We are excited to announce that we  will be launching a missions outreach program this year !It is our hope that these initiatives will cultivate gospel- transformed hearts among our children and families.

Our missions’ opportunity this Fall will involve supporting Saint Ann’s church in the Mott Haven area of the South Bronx. Mott Haven is one of the poorest congressional districts in the nation where 60% of the population is without a high school degree and 40% of households earn less than $10,000 a year. We envision cultivating a long-term relationship with Saint Ann’s and the families of Redeemer. Here are two events planned for this Fall:

1. Garden Event: September 24, 2011 (rain date October 1, 2011) at Saint Ann’s Church in the Bronx. Families will serve by helping with gardening, participating in children’s enrichment activities and sharing a meal together.
2. Advent Party: December 10, 2011 at Saint Ann’s Church in the Bronx. This will be in place of Jesus’ Birthday Party for this year.
