Give to Promise of Hope
What is the Promise of Hope Fund?
The Promise of Hope Fund (POH) was established in 2003 by Shu Chiu and Shujaat Islam to provide financial assistance for couples and families that need counseling. Their desire was for others to experience the joy and fulfillment of healthy relationships. On January 6, 2004 at the age of 30, Shu passed away from lung cancer. As a final gift to RCS, she asked her family and friends to give to the Promise of Hope fund in her memory.
Through the gift of Promise of Hope, RCS has assisted more than 200 people by providing individual, couples, and family counseling. From the beginning, our vision has been to renew people through the redemptive power of the gospel with a mission to make our counseling services openly available to as many people as possible in the city. The POH fund expands our reach and helps fulfill our goal to assist people from all walks of life. It makes professional counseling services accessible to individuals and families who might not be able to afford such services otherwise.
Join us in our vision to bring gospel renewal to NYC. Thank you for your generosity in helping individuals and families receive counseling.
