Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.
To be part of the Redeemer community means to be known and cared for
The saying goes, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” As Redeemer is a very large church, it can be a challenge meeting and getting to know others — to feel like you’re truly part of the church community. We encourage everyone to form meaningful relationships with others at Redeemer by doing the following: make one congregation your home, get into a Community Group, find a team or ministry where you can regularly serve with others, and be in conversations with your friends about what the gospel means to you.
Learn more about Redeemer and find resources for spiritual development
Do you have doubts about Christianity? Or would you like to learn more about a particular area of spiritual development? Here you can find resources that present Redeemer’s vision and values, address doubts and questions about Christianity, offer ways to understand a theological or biblical question, and guide you toward growth in your spiritual life.
As Christ came to this world to serve rather than to be served, we desire for those in our congregations to regularly serve both in our Sunday ministries and through Hope for New York to help the poor and marginalized of New York City.
We desire to be “a church not for ourselves.” This means we place the highest importance on the needs of those outside our church, over our own comfort and preferences. It means we desire to serve our neighbors as much as each other. Cities are the best place to serve God and love your neighbor, and Redeemer seeks to live out the love, hope and joy of the gospel in every neighborhood in order to see the city flourish.
