Who is this group for?

If you identify with the following characteristics, you may want to consider this group:

  • Continuously getting involved in co-dependent relationships.
  • Trouble saying, "no" and setting limits.
  • Your own emotions and decisions depend largely on others.
  • Difficulty expressing own needs and desires.
  • Feelings of responsibility toward others' feelings, thoughts, needs, wants, choices, and well-being.
  • Compulsion to help others solve their problems and feelings of anger when help is not appreciated.
  • Tendency to try to control other people and the outcome of events.
  • Feelings of attraction to needy people.
  • Difficulty accepting help from others.
  • Low self-esteem.
  • Feeling a sense of worth from being needed by others.

What are the long-term goals of this group?

  • To understand how boundaries function in healthy relationships.
  • To experience appropriate levels of self-esteem.
  • To own and express our own reality.
  • To face our limitations and learn to take care of ourselves.
  • To grow in trust and love for Jesus Christ.

Day: Tuesdays (April 29th - July 1st)
Time: 7:00-9:00 PM
Location: 1359 Broadway (between 36th St & 37th St), 4th floor
Cost: $10 for cost of book
Note: Before attending your first session, we ask that you acquaint yourself with the Group Rules.
This is a closed group. A new group is forming the 2nd week of September. Please check back for more details.

What to expect:

From 7-8 PM, a larger group meets together for food, worship, sharing, and teaching from the 12 Steps to Recovery. From 8-9pm, we split off into smaller groups to share and listen in a more intimate setting.
