Emergency Pastoral Care

For emergency pastoral care needs during regular business hours, call 212-808-4460 ext 100 and your message will be given to the pastor on call. After hours (evenings/weekends) leave a message on the Diaconate Helpline at 212-726-1334.

Examples of emergencies include death, illness (including hospital visit requests), marital crises, domestic violence, child abuse or other personal crises.


Non-Emergency Pastoral Care

Theological questions or prayer

For theological questions or prayer, we encourage you to consider one or more of the following options:

  1. On Sundays, come forward after the worship service to speak or pray with the worship leader (who is usually a Pastor), a deacon/ess or an elder (first Sunday of the month only).
  2. Attend a fellowship group for prayer and where theological questions can be worked out in community. If you are a member of a group already, please contact your fellowship group leader or coordinator.   3. Attend the Introduction to Redeemer New Member class. This is a great place to ask theological questions.
  4. Attend a School of Gospel Foundations class on Sundays. These are great forums for discussing Christian faith in its theology and practice.

Personal problems

For personal problems, we encourage you to consider one or more of the following options:

  1. If you are in a Fellowship group already, share your struggle with your group or Group Leader.
  2. Consider calling Redeemer Counseling Services at 212-370-0475 to speak to a counselor.
  3. Request to meet with a member of our pastoral staff by calling the receptionist at 212-808-4460 ext 110 and your message will be given to the pastor on call.
