Purpose

The Job Search Ministry is an extension of the Diaconate. Our main goal is to help our congregants achieve success in the workplace which will instill the values of confidence, productivity and a sense of wholeness. We believe that God intended to use our work to advance His kingdom. We desire to see our congregants engaged in meaningful work according to God's purpose and will. This ministry is gospel driven and extends the Diaconate's vision of mercy and justice.

Job Search Round Table

The Round Table is an open weekly meeting for those seeking employment by those seeking employment. Meets every Thursday 11AM to 1PM at the church offices (1359 Broadway, 4th floor). Features job search updates and information, bible study and prayer, and break out sessions for networking and accountability in a gospel-centered community. For Redeemer members and regular attendees. Registration not required. Inquiries: roundtable@redeemer.com.

Job Search Skills Training

For Redeemer members and attendees, the Diaconate sponsors Job Search Skills Training classes, which meets once a week for 5 weeks in a row. These free classes includes trainings on networking, resumes, interviews and much more. All classes take place at the Redeemer offices (1359 Broadway, 4th floor). Classes meet weekly on the same day and time.  The next Job Search Training class series starts Wednesday, June 5, 2013, 10 AM to 12 noon. For Diaconate Clients Only - One on One Job Search Ministry

Clients will consult with the job search ministry for an initial assessment. Based on this assessment, we can provide resources in the area of resume writing, interview skills, networking, vocational training, workplace issues, etc. Clients can also participate in mock interviews and specific workshops designed to improve skills. Those who are unsure about their career path can access career assessment tools (Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). We realize that everyone has specific needs and will work with you to gather resources in your specific area of interest. At this time, this ministry is open to Diaconate clients only.
