Sessions & FeesSessionsCounseling sessions are 50-minutes in length. Counselor AssignmentWe assign new cases based upon a variety of factors, including client availability, counselor availability, specific issues, or preferences. Unless you specifically request a counselor, we will assess the needs of the client and assign to the appropriate counselor. FeesRCS has a set fee for individual, couples' and family counseling. A sliding scale fee structure is available for those with a qualifying income level. To see if you qualify for a reduced fee, please fill out Reduced Fee Application included in the appropriate intake form. Because the sliding scale is dependent on income, in order to qualify for a reduced fee, verification of current income in the form of a recent pay stub or tax return, must accompany the RAF form. For couples and families, the sliding scale is dependent on combined income of all parties. The RAF form must be filled out by both (if applicable) and also accompanied by current financial documents. PaymentCash or checks are accepted forms of payment (checks made payable to "Redeemer" and the name of your counselor listed in the memo section.) We are not able to accept credit cards at this time. Payment is due at the time of each session. Accounts must be kept current in order to continue counseling at RCS. InsuranceWe are not able to accept any type of health insurance. However, we can provide insurance letters of receipt (with the required information by insurance companies) for you to file yourself for possible reimbursement. Because each individual's plan is different, please check with your insurance provider first about your insurance coverage to see if you have out-of-network benefits and will qualify for any type of reimbursement. Please note: Insurance letters can only be given if your account is current and paid in full. Please talk to your counselor about receiving a letter. Cancellation PolicyBecause our counselors have full schedules with back-to-back sessions, if you need to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment, you must notify your counselor 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Failure to do so will result in being charged in full for the session. This charge must be paid before or at the time of your next appointment to continue in the counseling relationship. Exceptions are made in emergency situations only. Contacting Your CounselorFor scheduling and canceling your appointments, you must contact your therapist directly by dialing the RCS main number (212) 370-0475 and then the extension number of your counselor, or by email. Leaving a message on the Reception voicemail after 5pm may result in a missed appointment charge to your account. |
