Individual Counseling

Couples Counseling: for dating couples or those who are married and are seeking relationship advice.

Pre-Marital Counseling: for couples who are considering engagement or are already engaged.

Family Counseling

Child/Adolescent Counseling: including play therapy for children 3 years and older to assist them in managing their emotions and thoughts when dealing with problems.

Career Counseling: career assessments, workshops and counseling - see Career Direction.

Financial Counseling: individual counseling designed to help with budgeting and debt reduction. See Financial Counseling for more detailed information.

Personality and Relationship Assessments: personality assessments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and the relationship assessment Prepare/Enrich, for dating, engaged or married couples - see Assessment Center.

Support Groups: See Support Groups for more information.

Group Therapy: groups of 6-10 individuals meeting with a trained counselor.  Provides a safe and supportive environment for members to take risks by improving interpersonal behavior and social skills. See Group Therapy for more information.

Psychiatry/Medical Management: Available on-site by a consulting psychiatrist.
Dr. Leonie Johnson-Sena received her medical degree at Cornell University Medical College in New York City. She has extensive experience as a staff psychiatrist and eventually as the Medical Director of the Union Settlement Association in East Harlem, NY. She has been in private practice for 7 years in NJ and began coming to Redeemer Counseling Services bi-weekly to see our clients since February of 2004. Dr. Sena and our counseling team work in close collaboration to provide the best care possible for our clients. She attends Vroom Street Evangelical Free Church in New Jersey.

Psychiatry/Medical Management: Available off-site by a consulting psychiatrist.
Dr. Doonam Kim, MD was trained at the New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical College and at the NYU School of Medicine. He is board certified in adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine. He attends the morning Redeemer Presbyterian Church services on the upper east side.
